ABOUT

Welcome to my Blog twocylindervintage.com. This site is dedicated to my hobby of restoring and collecting vintage tractors and implements, in particular my favorite John Deere two cylinder tractors. My collection also includes Ferguson, Massey Ferguson, Farmall, and Allis-Chalmers tractors.

This website was a Christmas gift from my wonderful wife Vanelle.

Please stay tuned for updates of my restoration projects, photos and videos of my tractors, items for sale and articles relating to vintage tractors and farm machinery.

My interest in old tractors and farm machinery began while growing up on a farm on the Northern Rivers of NSW Australia and having both my grandfather’s being tractor mechanics. As a child I loved to ride our tractors with my dad and as I grew older I rode the lawn mower myself, voluntarily mowing the lawn and then later the paddocks for hours.

My collection of tractors started at a young age when I saved my money to purchase a 1/64 scale model John Deere tractor.  Over the years, I have continued to collect dozens of model tractors.

My first real tractor, a Massey Ferguson 148, came along as a project to restore and resell while doing my mechanic apprenticeship. Since then I have restored and sold a few other Fergusons. A couple of years later I went to a tractor show in Cootamundra NSW, which inspired me to start a tractor collection. After which I found a TE20. I restored it and took it to my first tractor show as an exhibitor.  Through newspapers, internet, word of mouth, and the help of my father, I have built up my collection to 18 tractors which are from locally interstate and from North America.

I enjoy overhauling and restoring vintage tractors learning how they work and learning about the rich history and innovations over the years in tractors and farm machinery.

Hope you enjoy my website.
